Krazy Karma

Surrendered to us from Northern Vancouver Island, Karma unfortunately has anxiety and lots of it. Karma has made massive strides in the short time she has been here. When people and dogs walk by she now rarely lunges and stays relatively in control. As long as you have built a positive relationship with her she is easily corrected and will respond to you. She is eager to please her handler which has helped us change her behaviours.

She is a strong and confident dog so she very lucky to be in a home with confident owners.She believes that her owners are the pack leader, and trusts that they will take care of her. Karma is quickly learning what is and isn’t acceptable in her new home.

Karma loves people, she will sit pretty (sit on her hind legs) for anyone that possesses a treat. She loves to cuddle and get pets but you need to be sure she is in a calm and balanced state of mind as you don’t want to be praising her for being anxious/”over excited.“

Without realizing it Karma’s previously owners had praised her for being in a chaotic/ neurotic state of mind (easily misread as excitement) because of this Karma now sees every human as an opportunity to go crazy. She’s lucky to have a family that will advocate for her and set boundaries with new people and dogs. We have worked very hard to change her mindset around new dogs and people but she still has far to go. Everyday is a step in the right direction. her new home actively lead her to a calm state of mind, after-all they want their dog to be balanced. Nurturing the calm will give them the best chance at success with this young little munchkin.

Karma has been adopted to an amazing family on Vancouver Island that are taking training with the Wild Wolf Academy, through our Top Dog Program. Karma will go far in life. She is living a spectacular life with lots of walks and constant training. She is one lucky dog.
