Mission Possible
Puca's Packs spent 3 exhausting and rewarding months helping Raincoast Dog Rescue to make a life-changing impact for 300 dogs and cats who found their way to Canada from Afghanistan. We dedicated our time to these animals so they could live their best lives. We helped provided these dogs and cats with a safe haven, nurturing their physical and emotional well-being. Through patient training and compassionate care, we've helped them adapt to their new lives, offering a ray of hope after the challenges they faced in Afghanistan. The collaboration between Raincoast Dog Rescue, SPCA International, War Paws, Marleys Mutts and countless volunteers showcases the power of compassion and teamwork, to provide a brighter future for these animals. With your continued support, we strive to extend our reach, ensuring that even more animals find love, care, and a forever home.

Ukraine
In a remarkable display of unwavering dedication, Xicalli embarked on a mission of compassion when crisis struck Ukraine. When the war broke out, she joined forces with the incredible organization "Breaking the Chains" to bring aid to the forgotten victims of the conflict - the animals. For three months, she ventured into the heart of uncertainty, risking her safety to rescue and protect the innocent animals caught in the crossfire. Amidst the chaos, the team was able to provided animals with vital medical care, nourishment, and a glimmer of hope for a better future. This courageous endeavor exemplifies our commitment to animals in the most dire circumstances, demonstrating that even in the midst of turmoil, compassion knows no boundaries. Your support is what made this mission possible, and together, we continue to make a profound difference in the lives of those who need it most. Breaking the Chains continues their incredible work in Ukraine and has ventured into countless countries to provide aid when needed including Turkey and Thailand.

Romania
During an unforgettable month in Romania, our founder, Xicalli Boles, had the incredible opportunity to care for 97 animals rescued by War Paws and Animal Bus. These organizations opened their hearts and doors to dogs rescued from the conflict-ridden regions of Ukraine, offering them a second chance at life. Operating an animal shelter for these resilient dogs was no easy feat, but being part of their mission was a privilege. The dedicated staff and volunteers at this shelter work tirelessly to ensure the dogs' well-being, providing a safe haven, medical care, and the love they so deeply deserve. Xicalli was honored to work with each dog daily, witnessing their miraculous transformation from survivors to beloved pets.
This month-long venture in Romania epitomizes our unwavering commitment to giving animals a brighter future, regardless of their origins. With everyone's support, we continue to extend our reach, providing hope to those who need it most, one loving paw at a time.
We are thrilled to share that the majority of the dogs we worked with have now found loving foster homes or have been adopted. In the following pages, you will meet some of these amazing dogs, many of whom are still looking for their forever homes. If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website to fill out an application. These dogs are true survivors, having endured unimaginable hardships in a war zone. They have lived in shelters, and now all they seek is a loving home where they can finally feel safe and happy.
We must give a special shoutout to Louise, the owner of War Paws. Louise is one of the most incredibly powerful and strong women in the rescue world. Her unwavering love for animals is truly inspiring. She always prioritizes the care of animals above all else.
War Paws is the remarkable rescue organization funding and caring for these animals in Romania. They also operate a shelter in Iraq, where they care for hundreds of street dogs, providing spaying, neutering, vaccinations, flea treatments, wound care, and looking after dogs and puppies left on the streets. War Paws is wholeheartedly dedicated to animal welfare, ensuring they give animals a second chance. They are not in it for glory, recognition, money, or pride. This is a rescue driven by pure love for the animals.
