6 Months In Erbil Iraq

For six months, I am dedicating my time to an incredible animal rescue mission in Iraq, working alongside a shelter in Erbil that cares for nearly 1,000 dogs both on-site and in the surrounding areas. This organization provides a vital lifeline to animals in desperate need, offering them safety, medical care, and the chance at a new life.

During my time here, I am assisting with training for dogs preparing for rehoming, supporting the veterinary team with treatments and procedures, helping in the shelter with daily care, and ensuring the animals receive their necessary medications. Every day is a mix of hard work, dedication, and compassion as we give these dogs the attention and rehabilitation they need to thrive.

This experience is a testament to the resilience of these animals and the power of international collaboration in rescue efforts. With continued support, we can help more dogs find safety, healing, and loving homes, no matter where they are in the world.
